GABRIEL PUCCI
He
was born in Bahía Blanca (Argentina) in 1965. He began his piano studies at the
local conservatory. Later, he moved to Buenos Aires and finished them at the
National Conservatory “Carlos López Bouchardo”. He made piano studies with
Carmen Cipolla; of composition and harmony with professors Cipolla and V.
Maragno and orchestra conductor with professor G. Scarabino.
He
worked as a teacher of music in several institutions among wich we can find:
“Instituto Superior de música del Collegium Musicum de Buenos Aires”,
school of music of “Municipalidad de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires”,
conservatory of music “Manuel de Falla”, High National Institut for teacher
training in folklore, primary and secondary schools of
Buenos Aires.
He
was member of the jury for the “music”item at “Torneos Juveniles
Bonaerenses”.
In
December 1994 he was invited by “Academia Nacional del Tango”to take part of
the “Cuadro joven”.
He
was a member of several music ensembles that played with: Amelita Baltar,
Leonardo Suárez Paz and Prevignano in the Galván Ensemble for the festival of
San Pedro (1996) and with Alberto Marcó, Carlos Erostarbe and Gustavo
Batistesa.
He performed with succes with “Tango en Dúo” with the
guitarplayer Carlos Erostarbe. From its foundation (1992) till the death of
Carlos Erostarbe (1999), this duo played succesfully in:

Carretas” as Tango en Dúo and
Auditorium “Vaz Ferreira” and “Mercado de la Abundancia” with Silvia
Guadín in the “Che Tango Che” show.

From January 1994 to December 1995, “Tango en Dúo” took part of the
permanent staff of “Café Homero” which changed its name to “Celedonio Café
Tango”.
During this period he played with very important artists such as Raúl
Lavié, Rubén Juárez, Néstor Fabián, Angel Paya Díaz, ruth Durante, Abel Córdoba,
Enzo Valentino, Carlos Paiva, Walter Ríos, Osvaldo Montes, Julio Pane, Norberto
Digorado and Gabriel De Lío.
Tango en Dúo made and presented the following shows:

“Cuarenteando”,
with the jazz ensemble “Las cuerdas vocales” (Dalmon, Delmonte,
Erlich y Parera) during June and
July 1994 in “Café Homero” and “Café de los Músicos”.
- “Aguante Buenos Aires”, having the guest singer Carlos Damián, during September and October 1995 in the “Café Tortoni”-auditorium Alfonsina Storni and the “Mesón Español” of theater Avenida.

“Che Tango Che”,
made with Silvia Gaudín, presented during
1996 in the “Café Tortoni”-auditorium Alfonsina Storni.
At the moment, he is preparing a CD (coming soon) for ONO productions
together with Juan Carlos Caviello (bandoneon), Andrés Lima (guitar) and Hugo
Sanz (contrabass).
OSVALDO
RABUÑAL
Born in 1959 in Buenos
Aires. He did his music studies at the National Conservatory “Carlos López
Bouchardo” (Buenos Aires) with professor Graciela Pomponio de Martínez Zárate.
As
solist, he made recitals in the “Centro Cultural Gral. San Martín”, the
Catholic University of La Plata, Radio Nacional, etc.
In 1985, he created together with composer and violoncellist Patricio
Villarejo the Convergencia ensemble. This group presented several
times with great succes in the argentinian television.
From 1990, he took part in the Trío Argentino de Guitarras
with guitarists Luis Borda and
Gustavo Margulies.
Then, he made two europeans tours with this trio and played at:

In
2001, Gabriel Pucci and Osvaldo Rabuñal created the
DÚO PUCCI-RABUÑAL.
They have already presented several shows such as: “Tangos y milongas”, in “Centro Cultural Racoleta”, in “café teatro “Montserrat”, at the Colón Theater of Buenos Aires and in the “Centro Cultural Gral. San Martín”.
This instrumental show includes two great and essential rythms of Buenos Aires and Río de la Plata: Tango and Milonga.
They
present, as well, a variety of most importants authors and composers of these
two musical genres among which we can find: Horacio Salgán, Astor Piazzolla,
Pedro Láurenz, Mariano Mores, Agustín Bardi, Aníbal Troilo, etc.
